ODD Statistics
- The lifetime prevalence of ODD is estimated to be 10.2%. (11.2% for men and 9.2% for women)
- The median duration of ODD symptoms is 5-6 years.
- Of those with lifetime ODD, 92.4% meet the criteria for at least one other lifetime disorder. When it comes to comorbidity, ODD usually comes first. People with lifetime ODD may also have mood (45.8%), anxiety (62.3%), impulse-control (68.2%) and substance use (47.2%) disorders.
- Approximately 10% of children diagnosed with ODD will eventually develop a more lasting personality disorder, such as Anti-Social Personality Disorder.
